Remember, connect2 is only for booking drop-in, independent access to equipment and processes previously inducted in. Before attending drop-in for any process you must book and attend one of our process inductions via estudio.
If this is your first time logging into connect2 you will notice you have limited access to equipment, don't worry, staff need time to assign you access according to which inductions you have previously attended. This can take time depending on staff availability, when staff have assigned your access you will be able to begin booking drop in. Please bare in mind that if you are logging in for the first time after 4pm on a Friday your access wont be created until Monday.
If you see the error message "You do not have permissions to see any of the booking wizards, please speak to a member of staff" it means that we currently don’t have you on record as ticking the Declaration for Mandatory Introduction. This is a task that must be completed each academic year that you study with the University and wish to use the workshop as Health and Safety information can change, develop and update. If you have recently ticked the declaration we will need to update our records, this can take time depending on staff availability, as it is done manually, when staff have assigned your access you will be able to begin booking drop in. Please bear in mind that if you are ticking the declaration time after 4pm on a Friday your access won’t be created until Monday at the earliest.
